The Suffolk Psychogeophysics Summit presented an intense week-long
series of interventions, field trips, open workshops and evening
discussions led by international artists and researchers exploring the
Suffolk countryside through the interdisciplinary lens of
psychogeophysics, defined as the combining of psychogeographic
techniques (methods of wandering) with the study of geophysical traces
(geophysical archaeology, the revealing of place).

Although circuit boards were designed (based on the ATmega32u4) for environment and psyche collection, due to time constraints, available materials were patched around the Arduino MEGA (environment) and self-made ATmega8-based Arduino (psyche). Both boards (and openEEG module) send retrieved data to the PC/laptop at 57,600 baud serial.

The psychogeophysics walker is a mobile, iconic platform for both
urban and field exploration. The walker, designed around a disabled or
aged person's walker or trolley, incorporates a range of sensors
logging both the user's biological/emotional states (EEG, skin
resistance, skin temperature, blood flow and breathing patterns), and
the local environment (GPS, magnetic field, high and low frequency signals,
temperature, soil resistance where available) enabling a series of
maps to be constructed…
